We wanted to let you guys know to be on the look out for a great new movie called “The Fighter”  which will be in theaters starting next week. “The Fighter” is based on the life and career of our pal Micky Ward and his brother Dicky Ecklund. Micky is one of the greatest boxers to ever come out of Massachusetts. You may recognize him from the front cover of our album “The Warriors Code”. We wrote a song about Micky with that same title and named the album in his honor. Micky has been a great supporter of the Dropkick Murphys and of our charity foundation the Claddagh Fund and has attended all of our events. He also does great work through his own charity, Team Micky Ward Charities. Please support a great guy and terrific friend and spread the word about this movie, which by the way is awesome!
