The drive from Boston is about 30 miles but plan for the traffic to get heavy near the venue as it gets closer to the door time: directions. Your best bet for traveling to Lowell is via train. Take the Lowell line commuter rail departing from North Station >>
Trains depart from North Station (Boston) going to Lowell at: 8am (arrives 8.43am), 10am (10.43am), 12.10pm (12.53pm), 2.00pm (2.43pm), 4pm (4.43pm), 6pm (6.43pm) and 8pm (8.43pm)
Trains depart from Lowell to North Station (Boston) at: 3pm (arrives 3.43pm), 5pm (5.43pm), 7pm (7.43pm), 9pm (9.43pm) and 11.15pm (12 midnight)
There will be a shuttle bus service from the station to the venue and back starting with the 12.10pm (12.53pm) train. The shuttle bus costs $1. Tsongas Arena is a short walk from the station so if you don’t wish to wait for the shuttle bus or plan to get up to Lowell early it’s a short one mile stroll >>
